References news that J P Morgan Chase has just lost billions of dollars through the same kind of reckless activities which contributed to the financial meltdown of 2008. However, the notion that either of the major political parties will effectively regulate the corporate cash-cows that pour so much money into their campaigns is probably pie in the sky.

I love political cartoons. They’re funny, sly and subversive. They question authority, draw attention to corruption and highlight social ills. A good cartoon cuts through all of the bullshit straight to the heart of an issue. The right image can be be more effective than the longest, wordiest rant. Its therefore a form that's ideally suited to our attention deficit age. They're irreverent and poke fun at our rulers, of course, but our political system is pretty much surreal comedy anyway. I don't own these images but I enjoy them. I hope you do too .. Ellie.
