About

portrait

I love political cartoons. They’re funny, sly and subversive. They question authority, draw attention to corruption and highlight social ills. A good cartoon cuts through all of the bullshit straight to the heart of an issue. The right image can be be more effective than the longest, wordiest rant. Its therefore a form that's ideally suited to our attention deficit age. They're irreverent and poke fun at our rulers, of course, but our political system is pretty much dark comedy anyway. I don't own these images but I enjoy them. I hope you do too .. Ellie.
